FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Milton Caraglio and Dane Richards scored two goals apiece and the New England Revolution and the Red Bulls drew 2-2 Saturday night.

Caraglio scored in the 15th and 37th minutes to give New England a 2-0 lead at halftime, but Red Bulls’ midfielder Richards answered in the 53rd and 87th to get New York the road point.

Caraglio opened the scoring with a spectacular shot inside the box in the 15th minute, and added another late in the second half when he converted a Kenny Mansally free kick to make it a two-goal game.

Taking a lead into the half for the third straight match, the Revolution had hoped to finally convert it into a victory after watching leads in their previous two matches evaporate.

But the Red Bulls, who were held without a shot on goal in the first half, found life in the 53rd when Richards scored on a breakaway to cut New England’s lead in half.

The Revolution went short-handed two minutes later when Mansally was issued his second yellow card of the game and was ejected. But the Red Bull’s man-advantage lasted less than 15 minutes, as Teemu Taino was ejected in the 69th minute.

With both teams playing with 10 men, the Red Bulls attacked with a fury in the final minutes. In the 87th minute, Joel Lindpere took the ball down the left flank and crossed it into the box, where Richards tapped it in to equalize and rip yet another victory away from the Revolution in the waning minutes.

The Red Bulls play host to the L.A. Galaxy on Aug. 28, and New England heads to Philadelphia on the same day to face its fourth straight Eastern Conference opponent.
