Ex-Borussia Dortmund sub Sahr Senesie is the latest trialist

Red Bull midfielder Jorge Rojas has been called into Venezuelaâs National Teams for its next to World Cup qualifiers; not shocking, considering heâs the second-most capped player in his countryâs history. But the real news is that defender Gabriel Cichero has NOT been called up.
So, while Rojas _ who reportedly plans to play or at least train with Caracas in the offseason _ will miss the Chicago game, Cichero should be available to face the Fire. That’s huge considering the 24-year-old had gotten red-carded and then sat out a two-game suspension, meaning he’s missed the last 2 ½ games.
And, despite Jeff Parke not playing in the Red Bullsâ 0-0 tie in D.C., the center back is not on the injury report. He was available to play against United, but was simply being rested an extra game from his sprained ankle. That means both Parke and Cichero _ who were both theoretically in question _ should both be available vs. Chicago.
In other news, the Red Bulls are still searching under every possible rock for a striker. The latest is Sahr Senesie, a 23-year-old from the diamond-producing town of Koindu in Sierra Leone. Heâs been on trial and played in the reserve win over D.C., but got a knock and came off after 20 minutes for Sainey Touray. The club signed Touray to a developmental deal, but Senesie is still on trial and was around today.
At 11 heâd fled Sierra Leone for Germany, and eventually signed with Borussia Dortmund. He led their Under-16 team in scoring, then led the Under-19 team to two junior Bundesliga titles before joining the big club in 2005. But he saw sporadic playing time, leaving this year to trial with Nottingham Forest a month ago.
The 5-foor-8, 163-pounder _ who played for Germanyâs Under-20 National Team _ is a forward, but can play left wing or attacking midfield as well. But it remains to be seen how serous the knock is or can he impress Juan Carlos Osorio in his trail.
