The Red Bulls lineup for today’s tilt against Chicago is out, and there is one huge surprise. John Wolyniec, coming off back-to-back solid outings, has forced his way into the Starting XI. Macoumba Kandji will start out on the left wing in a 4-4-2.

This tells me Juan Carlos Osorio is serious about rewarding performance, after Wolyniec’s shorthanded, 88th-minute equalizer against Houston and then his two-assist performance at D.C. midweek. It also tells me Osorio isn’t going to start Khano Smith unless he absolutely has to.
