Red in the face
* You would think that St. John’s athletic director Chris Monasch would have asked Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt if his family was comfortable moving away from Atlanta before offering him the Red Storm coaching job. Instead, St. John’s is left with egg on its face. Why don’t they make the right choice and hire former Johnnies and Knicks star Mark Jackson?

* St. John’s needs to move to a mid-major conference. If they do, they will be a winning team again. And they could rehire coach Norm Roberts, who should not have been fired in the first place.

What about Ike?
* Mets manager Jerry Manuel on Ike Davis, who the team sent down to the minors to start the season: “I would have no problem with Ike Davis being part of a championship season.” What, the Mets are trading him to the Yankees?

Bud of every joke
* In Steve Serby’s “Sunday Q&A with Bud Selig” [The Post and nypost.com, March 21], the baseball commissioner’s replies spoke volumes on how MLB’s once hallowed statistics have been destroyed forever under his pathetic watch. In one instance, Selig boldly claimed ” . . . we’ve cleaned the sport up.” Then, later in the same Q&A, he admitted MLB can’t reliably test for HGH. Bud, I’m no Dr. Oz, but who are you kidding? With several players now linked to an infamous HGH doctor, we have been tragically reminded that baseball’s performance-enhancing drug problem continues to rage on. My 5-year-old son likely will soon ask me about the single-season and career home run records, but I will not be able to spin your web of lies.

We want Wade
* The Knicks should forget LeBron James and go after Dwyane Wade. Why? Wade has a championship and fans throughout the country and James doesn’t. James is selfish and deserves to rot in Ohio for 15 years, while Wade makes others better and is a proven winner (at Marquette and with the Heat). Adding Wade and Amare’ Stoudemire and re-signing Tracy McGrady would equal 50-plus wins, the Knicks’ best of the 2000s.

Snore card
* I made a big mistake listening to John Flaherty calling a Yankees spring training game on YES. They had to call the EMS to do CPR to get me out of the coma he induced. No more Yankees games with the sound on.

Not HD friendly
* Won’t Rex Ryan and the Jets being on next season’s “Hard Knocks” on HBO prevent people from wanting to buy HD-TV?

Gun play
* So Gilbert Arenas isn’t going to jail for pulling a gun on a teammate. This proves that it is better to pull a gun on someone than shoot yourself, like former Giant Plaxico Burress, who’s in jail for two years, did. I guess now when people pull guns on others, they can tell the judge “Well at least I didn’t shoot myself.”
