MLB.com is reporting that the Dodgers and Manny Ramirez have agreed in principle to a two-year, $45 million deal.

The deal, which is pending a physical, was negotiated when Ramirez, his agent Scott Boras, Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, general manager Ned Colletti and manager Joe Torre all met in Los Angeles Tuesday night.

Ramirez was seeking a deal in the six-year range, but with no other suitors, the controversial slugger and Boras agreed to the same offer the Dodgers offered last Wednesday. The signing ends a 4 ½-month bargaining battle between the two sides.
