ROCKET’S JUST DUCKY
We’ll never know if Roger Clemens would have to duck if he carried a bat to the plate against the Mets in the World Series.
This much we do know: He can duck a question no matter how many times it’s asked.
Clemens was asked repeatedly at the press conference following the Yankees’ 6-5, Game 2 win over the Mets if he is glad he doesn’t have to pitch at Shea Stadium in the World Series.
“I’m not going to answer that,” Clemens said. “Again, there was no intent.”
Would he fear batting against the Mets?
“There was no intent,” said Clemens, who has tossed 17 no-hit, shutout innings in his past two postseason starts.
If Clemens faces the Mets again, it will be in Game 6, provided there is a Game 6, which will be at the Stadium.
