As Rousey’s extended hiatus from the Octagon approaches the nine-month mark, Justino — her would-be chief rival — addressed “rumors” Thursday that the explanation is Rousey is pregnant.

As Justino’s comments made the rounds on social media, TMZ reports Rousey spoke with UFC president Dana White over the phone to reassure him the pregnancy remarks were not true.

Rousey, 29, said she became suicidal following her devastating loss to Holly Holm last November, but the possibility of having children with boyfriend Travis Browne is what kept her going.

“To be honest, I looked up and saw that my man Travis was standing there, and I looked up at him and was just like, ‘I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive,’ Rousey told Ellen DeGeneres earlier this year. “I was thinking I was meant to have him when I was at my lowest. I wouldn’t have made it without him.”

Browne and Rousey have been dating for more than a year.
