Maybe this could be the start of something.

For the reasonable price of $5,000, you could step on the court during a Knicks game at the Garden, make a lewd gesture toward the fans and swear at them. That’s what Indiana’s Reggie Miller did.

Late in the third quarter during the Knicks’ win over the Pacers on Saturday, Miller grabbed his crotch and yelled “[Bleep] you,” to the crowd. Yesterday, Miller was fined $5,000 by the league, but not suspended, for “obscene language toward spectators” according to the NBA.

The fine is half that of Latrell Sprewell’s $10,000 from when he cursed repeatedly at Golden State fans earlier in the year.
