The Saints have ended their pursuit of Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey according to the Bergen Record.

Shockey missed Big Blue’s Super Bowl run last year and the team tried to trade him before the draft. New Orleans was the most interested team.

“It’s no secret we had some discussions with them and we just couldn’t come to a conclusion on the right compensation,” Saints general manager Mickey Loomis told Sirius NFL Radio.
