Sometimes, persistence pays off. Bobby Santiago, who helped lead All Hallows to the CHSAA title game, said yesterday that he will be heading to SUNY-Stony Brook.
“They stayed with me all season,” said the 6-foot-1 guard, who received an honorable mention on the Post’s All-CHSAA team and averaged 12 ppg for the Gaels. “When I had a hard time getting my SAT scores, they didn’t go anywhere. A lot of other schools just kind of came and went.”
Santiago recently got the SAT score he needed to qualify for the NCAA, but can’t sign with Stony Brook until he is accepted by the school, which is expected to happen soon.
