A struggling Juventus defeated Siena 1-0 on the road Sunday to end a winless four-match run in Serie A, while two late goals from defender Alessandro Nesta earned AC Milan a stunning 2-1 comeback triumph at Chievo Verona.

Juve’s Brazilian-born striker Amauri, who is expected to join Italy after getting citizenship later this year, headed home the goal in the 72nd minute to win the match.

“I have always scored goals. I plan on continuing to do so,” a defiant Amarui told Sky Italia.

The Turin-based club are currently in third place with 18 points after nine games — four behind Inter Milan and two shy of second-place Sampdoria.

On Saturday, Inter beat Catania 2-1, while Samp downed Bologna 4-1.

AC Milan are currently three points behind Juve after two Nesta headers — the first in the 81st minute and a second in stoppage time — wiped out Giampiero Pinzi’s seventh-minute goal.

“I’m glad to have scored two very big goals,” Nesta told reporters during a news conference. “I’m glad we won and that we’re in fourth place.”

The Rossoneri share fourth place with Fiorentina, who suffered their first home loss of the season by going down 1-0 to Napoli on a goal by Christian Maggio with two minutes left to play.
