KINGSTON, R.I. — Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 25 points and added 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season, but a second-half rally by Seton Hall stalled as the Pirates fell to Rhode Island 76-63 on Wednesday night.

Makhi Mitchell recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds to carry Rhode Island (3-2), while Fatts Russell added 17 points.

Jared Rhoden scored 10 points for the Pirates (1-2) who were tied 61-61 with six minutes left but missed their final eight shots as the Rams pulled away to win.
