Sheepshead Bay’s John Thomas collected a few more of the nation’s best times this week.

On Dec. 19, he claimed the country’s top spot this season in the 300 meters, an event he hopes to eclipse the national record in, by running a time of 33.95 at the Bishop Loughlin Games at the Armory. He added two more US No. 1 times at the Boston Holiday Challenge at the Reggie Lewis Center on Dec. 28. The senior won the 200 in a time of 21.85 and the 400 in 50.30. He also holds the nation’s third fastest time in the 55-meter dash with a mark of 6.40, according to milesplit.us.
