One week after suffering an apparent seizure, the Saints said today tight end Jeremy Shockey will be able to practice this weekend, according to nola.com.
GM Mickey Loomis told the website Shockey would be OK to participate Friday, but to what extent was not revealed.
Shockey last Thursday was taken to the hospital by ambulance after he was stricken while lifting weights.
“I am OK. Thanks to everyone who has shown their concern,” Shockey said then in a message posted on his Twitter account. “Don’t worry about me. I will be fine.”
The Giants traded Shockey to the Saints after the 2007 season. He scored a touchdown in the Saints’ Super Bowl victory over the Colts.
