TODAY’S PLAY: In the first race, Todd Pletcher sends out another juvenile firster that has good breeding and works. Play a $10 exacta box of Unabashed with Sawyers Trustylady and Ruby Lips. Also play a $5 exacta box of Unabashed with Dixiluna. Total bet: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS: Show Some Magic was hard used throughout but still had enough in the tank to hold off Gombey Dancer for the victory. Profit of $8.

VIC CANGIALOSI

TODAY’S PLAY: Not that we’ve had any luck with featured race favorites but here we go again. Play $20 doubles of Gitchee Goomie in the fourth with both Shakeira and Wholelottashakin in the fifth. Then $10 to win on Fantastic Eyes in the seventh. Total bet: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS: Show Some Magic made us feel good for a half hour before Macho Libre and Two of a Kind ruined the vibe. And 4-5 Compliance Officer well … you know the rest. Loss of $50.

BANKROLL: $1,624.

ED FOUNTAINE

TODAY’S PLAY: In the eighth race, $30 to win, $20 to place on Glorious View. Total bet: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS: In the eighth race, Dan and Sheila ($20 win) won paying $7.20; but in the ninth, Fourseventeen did not hold up his end of the bargain, costing us a $10 double bet and $20 to win; profit of $22 on the day.

BANKROLL: $1,813.50

ANTHONY AFFRUNTI

TODAY’S PLAY: Going with two win bets. In the second, we’ll play $25 to win on Harbor Mist, and in the fifth we’ll put $25 to win on Imitable Romance. Total bet: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS: Got split in the trifecta for third as I was walking in the gate, and still the win bets came up empty. Lost the whole $50.

BANKROLL: $2,078.35
