The 17-year-old snowboarder who won the first U.S. Olympic gold medal in Pyeongchang Sunday was so filled with joy, he dropped an F-bomb on network television.

“Oh, God, this is scary,” said Red Gerard, as NBC shot footage of the teen waiting for his final score to appear on a board.

When the number 87.17 popped up — revealing his big win — his face lit up, and the bad word slipped out. “What the f—k?” he beamed,

. “Hoooly sh-t!”

Gerard, of Colorado, is the youngest person ever to win a gold medal for snowboarding. He beat Canadians Max Parrot and Mark McMorris in the slope-style event.

NBC had yanked a clip of his swear-laced reaction from the internet by Sunday afternoon.
