St. Anthony’s will have to wait a few days to get its 2011 season started.

The Friars’ season opener against State College (Pa.) has been postponed because of flooding in the State College area. The game originally slated for 7 p.m. Friday night in South Huntington has been moved to Sunday at 5 p.m. at St. Anthony’s. The Friars are ranked No. 1 in The Post’s CHSFL rankings and expected to field one of the best teams in the program’s storied history. They beat State College, 28-17, last season.
