That dream died Monday when Anthony Mason Jr. was cut by the Heat, according to a Hoopsworld report.

The former St. John’s forward was a long shot to make the team after an injury-filled career with the Red Storm.

He is the son of Anthony Mason, who played with the Knicks from 1991-’96.
