Chris Mullin, the greatest player ever to wear a St. John’s jersey who now is with ESPN, was at his old stomping grounds yesterday interviewing Lou Carnesecca and Steve Lavin for “SportsCenter.”
Mullin, 47, recently was named one of 12 finalists for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
“As a kid, I was more focused on making my high school [team],” said Mullin, when asked if dreamed of such an honor growing up. “To get nominated and to be a finalist, that in itself is an honor itself. What happens from here is all gravy.”
