Staten Island Academy forward Casey Bray and St. Joseph Hill forward Lauren DeForte have both verbally committed to the University of Bridgeport, their Staten Island Stingrays travel team coach Rose Dunn told The Post.

“I really felt comfortable with the team and the coaches,” Bray said. “I really liked the school because they have almost every major possible.”

The senior transferred to the Staten Island private school from Notre Dame Academy last year and made an immediate impact. She gave the Tigers the versatile forward they needed to complement their other pieces. DeForte played out of position at small forward for a Hill team that placed fourth the CHSAA Archdiocesan playoffs last season. She provided the Hilltoppers with solid defense and a strong outside shooting.

“When I went for my official visit I felt like part of the team,” said DeForte, a natural guard.
