Stewart Elliott, jockey of Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Smarty Jones, was forced to cancel numerous appearances in New York yesterday so that he could be with his fiancee, Lauren Vannozzi, who reportedly may have a neurological disorder.

After taking Vannozzi to Monmouth Medical Center Monday night, the 39-year-old Elliott was scheduled to take her to Philadelphia yesterday so she could consult with her personal physician.
