Sebastian Telfair, featured on the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated, leads Lincoln into the quarterfinals when the PSAL A playoffs resume on Saturday at St. John’s.

Fourth-seeded Columbus faces No. 5 Sheepshead Bay at noon, followed by No. 3 Lincoln and sixth-seeded Boys & Girls at 2 p.m. Upset-minded Tilden, No. 23, will look to knock off second-seeded Grady at 4 and No. 1 Cardozo ends the quadrupleheader at 6 against ninth-seeded Banneker.

The PSAL A girls playoffs will be played at Elmcor, with third-seeded Kennedy facing No. 6 Midwood at noon. Francis Lewis, seeded second, will play No. 7 Frederick Douglass at 2. Fourth-seeded Lincoln meets No. 5 Lehman at 4 and top-seeded and defending champion Bergtraum plays No. 8 Cardozo at 6.

In the CHSAA, Rice plays Molloy tonight at 6 in the AA quarterfinals at Christ the King, with St. Francis Prep-Xaverian following. The quarters continue tomorrow at St. Francis Prep, with All Hallows and Loughlin at 6 and St. Raymond’s-Christ the King in the nightcap.

Cardinal Hayes and La Salle meet in the CHSAA A quarterfinals on Saturday at Bishop Ford, followed by Fordham Prep versus St. John’s Prep. The other quarters will be held at Mount St. Michael, with Moore Catholic playing Spellman at 1:30 and then Xavier will face Iona Prep. The B semifinals are scheduled for Sunday at Iona Prep. Salesian faces Regis at 1. Cathedral Prep plays Scanlan in the following game.

Molloy will play Loughlin today at 4:30 at Bishop Ford in the CHSAA girls semifinals, with Christ the King-St. Francis Prep in the nightcap. The finals will be held at St. Francis College on Sunday at 5.
