“Mad Men” is still Don Draper‘s (and Jon Hamm‘s) show, of course, but we are being reminded week after week that the truly inspired bit of casting was making John Slattery a regular early in the game, rather than a special guest star. Kind of the Fonzie of Sterling-Cooper that way.
