Please change the motto “cheaters never win” to “cheaters never play golf with Daniel Berger.”

Catchy, isn’t it.

Berger, a director of sales for Green Mountain Coffee who lives in Westchester, is a self-described golf-rule guru.

“I’m by the book all the time,” said Berger, a 12-handicapper. “Friends come to me when there’s a question in the rules. I call penalties against myself and others.”

Once, and this was with friends, he walked off the course over a rules controversy.

“Why play if you’re not going to follow the rules,” Berger said.

Daniel’s picks are: Falcons, Broncos, Seahawks, Saints, Patriots, Bengals, Panthers, Bears, Chargers, Browns, Titans, Rams, Jaguars, Raiders, Eagles, Colts.

Last week’s fan, Rasheid McCorvey, went 8-8 for a .500 winning percentage. Stefani Butler retained the overall lead with a .679 winning percentage.

The fan with the highest winning percentage at the end of the season wins $1,000. In the case of a tie, the prize will be split evenly.
