When the Mets open a three-game series in Detroit tonight, they’ll face a Tigers team that’s riding a mini-roll.

Jhonny Peralta hit a tiebreaking triple in the eighth inning and Victor Martinez drove in two runs last night, leading the Tigers to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Blue Jays.

The Tigers are only 5-5 in their last 10 — but have won three in a row.

Max Scherzer struck out nine over seven, and the AL Central leaders snapped Toronto’s three-game winning streak.

In Minneapolis, Matt Kemp had four hits, including his NL-leading 22nd home run, and the Dodgers had a little fun after a tough day by routing the skidding Twins.

Chad Billingsley cruised through six innings, combining with three relievers on Los Angeles’ seventh shutout of the season. Casey Blake had a home run among his three hits for the Dodgers.

In Phoenix, Orlando Cabrera homered off closer J.J. Putz with two outs in the ninth inning as the Tribe snapped a three-game skid.
