It’s been 16 years since an American medaled in the men’s downhill, still one of the Games’ marquee events. Bode Miller flamed out in Turin and isn’t among the favorites, but he can still show flashes of brilliance and maybe he’ll be at his best when the pressure is off. Canadians Manuel Osborne-Paradis and Robbie Dixon, who both train at Whistler, could also climb the podium.
