The Giants won the Super Bowl in early February in 2008, and things were starting to look up for New York sports. The high didn’t last long.

A manager was fired in the middle of the night, a former coach took too many sleeping pills then blamed it on his teen daughter, a certain team collapsed – again – and a couple stars were arrested.

All-in-all, not much to be proud of after February, but it looks like changes are being made and things are looking brighter for 2009.

But for now, lets take a look back at the most shameful New York sports moments of 2008.
