New York said adios to some legends of the field and legendary fields in 2008. Many will be missed, some won’t be missed at all, but all are now gone but not forgotten. Two baseball stadiums fell victim to the wrecking ball, a couple coaches got the ax, and at least a few athletes left the Big Apple not necessarily on their own terms. But hey, that’s business.
So, without further ado, these are our picks for the Top New York Sports Farewells Of 2008.
