The Cameron Crazies are excited, everyone else is just plain crazy.

No. 2 recruit Jabari Parker announced his decision to join Duke next season on Thursday, since then he’s been harassed on Twitter by fans of the schools he passed over, and rival North Carolina’s supporters, too. Parker chose the Blue Devils over Michigan State, BYU, Florida and Stanford.

“I think I’m getting more tweets,” Parker told ESPN Radio on Friday. “Fans are just now giving me a hard time. They sometimes just forget I’m a kid. Real hateful stuff. It’s no problem, though. I know it comes with the territory, and it’s just going to make me stronger.”

According to ESPN.com, one of the tweets Parker received was:

“Ur a loser. Have fun not having a pro career after duke #dukesucks #UNC”

We’ll assume that was among the tame ones, and not the profane messages he received.

“Trying to grow up fast. Act with a lot of class. I want to be respectful ALL the time. Sometimes people forget I’m 17#strivingforcharacter,” Parker tweeted.
