U.S. Open first round play has been suspended for the day. The official announcement was made at 1:55 p.m. Play was originally suspended at 10:16 a.m.

The first round is scheduled to resume at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow.

No one completed more than 11 holes, and half the 156-man field didn’t even start their round.
