The U.S. clinched a spot in the FIFA U-20 World Cup with a 2-0 win over El Salvador last night in their final Group A match in Tobago. It marks their seventh straight U-20 world Cup and 12th overall, a CONCACAF record.

Brek Shea and Tony Taylor scored first-half goals, Brian Perk had his third shutout in as many games and Dilly Duka _ a Rutgers sophomore and Red Bull academy product _ started his third straight in central midfield, as the U.S. won Group A with a 2-0-1 mark. They play the Group B runnerup in the semis.

The 19-year-old Duke started off the sequence that resulted in the first tally. In the 30th minute he lofted a pass to right wing Brian Ownby, who cut around his defender and struck a driven cross into the box. Jared Jeffrey dummied the ball to make the keeper commit, and Shea scored an easy goal. That was all the U.S. needed.
