Whatever happens in the final rounds of the Olympics luge, Kate Hansen already has locked up the gold in warm-up dancing.

Television cameras captured a blissful Hansen breaking it down as she prepared for her slides in Sochi on Monday. As the 21-year-old BYU student admits in her Twitter bio: “I know all of Beyonce’s choreo by heart and I wear spandex for a living.”

Not everyone was amused. While the hip-shaking footage played, NBC luge commentator Duncan Kennedy intoned: “I would like to see something a little more sport-specific from her. What you see out of the top runners, the really heavy hitters, is working the start muscles, working the low back, working the arms and the shoulders and getting the power out of it, because the start has to be a powerful, explosive movement.”

Um, Duncan, she’s working everything!

Hansen sits in 10th place halfway through the competition, which concludes with two runs Tuesday. U.S. teammate Erin Hamlin is in third place.
