Keith Van Horn was said to be so distraught about joining his fourth team in two years he refused to fly out to Milwaukee yesterday as planned. However, his concerns apparently were resolved, and Van Horn will take his physical today in Milwaukee and hold a press conference.
There were strong rumblings that Van Horn had even threatened the Bucks with retirement talk.
One source close to the Bucks said, “There may have been some initial reaction from people around Keith, but there’s nothing abnormal going on now. He’s flying [today].” Van Horn’s agent is David Falk.
“Keith was playing the best ball of his career,” Allan Houston said. “He proved a lot of people wrong. It was good for him, in the toughest place to play, and hush all those wrong rumors about him and set a new standard for himself.”
