Aaliyah Lewis was taking the final shot and what a shot it was.

“I wanted the ball,” the Bishop Ford guard said. “I called for the ball. I wanted to take that last shot. I didn’t even know the ball went in.”

With the score tied and 8.3 seconds left against Archbishop Molloy, Lewis dribbled the ball up the left side, drove and hit a ridiculous circus shot with .4 seconds remaining. Her basket gave Bishop Ford a 55-53 victory in the CHSAA Brooklyn/Queens Division I girls basketball semifinals Thursday night in Park Slope. The Falcons advance to their first-ever title game versus host Christ the King Saturday.
