The Panther Keith Ballard did not take kindly to this goal by Ilya Kovalchuck of the Thrashers.

After Kovalchuck poked home his own rebound past goalie Tomas Vokoun, Ballard took a swing at the goal post but missed and smashed his goalie in the head. Vokoun had to be taken off on a stretcher, but miraculously the only injury seems to be a laceration to his ear.

The best part is after Ballard nailed his goalie he took another half-hearted swing at the goal post — connecting this time. Oh, and the Panthers lost, 4-3.
