ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap is reporting that X-rays of Brett Favre’s right shoulder have been sent to the Minnesota VIlikings for evaluation, and if it is determined Favre does not need major surgery he will come out of retirement to play.
After his retirement from the Jets in February, it was revealed Favre had a torn biceps tendon that would require surgery if he were to play again.
Favre reportedly was to meet with Vikings head coach Brad Childress this week, but other reports said Favre called off the meeting because he planned to remain retired.
Schaap added that if Favre is healthy and can not reach a deal with the Vikings, he will explore joining another team.
Based on comments reported today, it’s best that it not be the Jets.
