The “Fierce Five” is back to work.

The gold-medal winning U.S. gymnastics team appeared on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” on Wednesday night posing as interns, acrobatically getting host Stephen Colbert a pen.

“We’ve got a new batch of interns and they might be the best ones to date,” Colbert said before the girls showed themselves. “Five bright young women who just returned from some kind of study abroad program in London.”

All-around champ Gabby Douglas was the first to grab the pen, handing off to vault silver medalist McKayla Maroney, then floor exercise winner Aly Raisman to Kyla Ross and then finally Jordyn Wieber.

All threw in some vintage gymnastic moves. Wieber walked on her hands over to Colbert near his desk and handed the pen to him with her toes.

And of course, no “Fierce Five” appearance would be complete with the McKayla-is-not-impressed face, the one she wore after failing to win gold in the vault as expected.
