After almost 25 years, Mets great and SNY analyst Keith Hernandez had his mustache shaved before the team’s home finale outside of Citi Field.

“It’s for a good cause. We can have a little fun with it. What the heck?” Hernandez said last week, with the money going to the Jacquelyn Hernandez Adult Day Health Center in honor of his mother, who suffered from Alzheimers.

Hernandez estimated that the last time he was without his mustache was in the late 80’s.
