AUGUSTA, Ga. — Because of severe weather in the forecast for Sunday afternoon, Masters officials announced the final round will begin with 7:30 a.m. threesomes going off the first and 10th tees.

This is a highly unusual practice for the Masters, but there are supposed to be some potentially violent electrical storms in the Augusta area Sunday afternoon, and the alternative of finishing the tournament on Monday was not an attractive one for anybody.

The leaders will tee off in the final grouping at 9:20 a.m. CBS will begin its live broadcast at 9 a.m. through completion of the tournament, which will likely be at about 2 p.m.
