As for A-Rod, this is what he said after tonight’s 7-5 loss to the Orioles. A-Rod’s Milestone Home Run March is stuck in the mud. He struck out three times and popped to third. He remains at 499. He also made a costly error. He is 0-for-9 in his last three games since homering Wednesday.

He is facing something he has never faced before. Pitchers are not throwing him any strikes and he is playing into their hands by swinging at bad pitches.

“This is unbelievable,’’ he said. “Overall this will make me better. I just have to get used to it and get a good pitch to hit.’’
