Al Leiter will make his debut as a YES analyst on the Yankees’ pre-game show prior to their home opener against the Royals Tuesday.

Leiter will work a total of 50 games as an analyst. His first turn in the booth will come a week from today when he works with Michael Kay and Ken Singleton.

Leiter said yesterday he had options with Fox and ESPN but chose not to pursue them. It would not be surprising if Leiter is added to Fox Sports’ postseason coverage as he has been two of the past three years.
