LOUISVILLE — Horse racing’s leading ladies are back at work.

Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra zipped five furlongs at Churchill Downs yesterday, while unbeaten mare Zenyatta was just as impressive in a work at Hollywood Park.

Rachel Alexandra covered five furlongs in 1:00.40, second-fastest of the 14 horses who worked the distance. Zenyatta worked six furlongs in 1:13 as she continues to prep for the Vanity Handicap on June 13.
