Yankee bench coach Don Zimmer missed last night’s game after he was admitted to Beth Israel North hospital in Manhattan with stomach problems.
But manager Joe Torre indicted last night that Zimmer might be released as early as today.
Zimmer, 72, left the Stadium during Thursday night’s 2-1 win over the Mariners complaining of stomach problems.
He was treated at the hospital for a mild gastrointestinal disorder and was undergoing tests.
“Everything seems to be fine, it’s just something he has to take care of,” Torre said.
