While the Greeks have done an excellent job thus far of hosting the Games, their athletes are embarrassing the nation.

The Associated Press reported yesterday that weightlifter Leonidas Sampanis, a bronze medalist at the Athens Games, tested positive for drugs in an initial sample.

Sprinters Kostas Kenteris, who won 2000 Olympic gold in the 200 meters, and Katerina Thanou, who won silver in the 100, have already been tossed for missing multiple drug tests.
