ABSTRACT:

STORRS, Conn. – Geno Auriemma says his idea of “fun” is to come into practice every day and put his players in “impossible situations” so they fail over and over again.

“I’ll keep doing it until my players start saying, “Hey, this is cool. I;m going to figure a way out of this,” said Auriemma, the coach of No. 1 -ranked University of Connecticut women’;s basketball team. “I want to find their breaking point and extend it in practice, so that in games, frustrating situations seem easy.”

“Last year, at their place, it was hostile, almost scary,” Abrosimoya said of last season;s 84-69 Vol victory. “It was so loud and so much against us. We would love to get them back for that.”
