Mayor Giuliani announced yesterday that the new U.S. Basketball League expansion team, the Brooklyn Kings, will play in Long Island University starting April 30.
Democratic Congressman Ed Towns, a Giuliani political ally, joined the Mayor at yesterday’s announcement.
”In 1957, the Brooklyn Dodgers left Brooklyn and since that time we have not had a professional team in Brooklyn. Well, we’re about to change that,” Towns said.
