Itâs a strange feeling being in the Yankee clubhouse down here at 8 in the morning and watching the Red Sox play a regular season game at that hour while the Yankees are still going through the spring training motions and were barely awake.
Was quite the busy day today, talked to Andy Pettitte twice, heâs feeling better and threw for six minutes in right field, the real test will be his bullpen session, which figures to be Wednesday. Also went over and watched Joba Chamberlain work an inning on the minor league side. He is still getting his bullpen head and body together.
Also had another day of steroid mudslinging by Jose Canseco, directed at A-Rod, who brushed it off as if it were a piece of lint on his dress shirt. Canseco is one sad dude right now. A-Rod is batting .471 BTW.
Watching the Red Sox game was fun because Yogi was filing in and out of the clubhouse, checking on it, offering Yogi comments, yes itâs never over til itâs over as Red Sox homered in ninth to tie and then win it extras on Mannyâs big hit. Here we go again.
Saw another great Florida sign this morning while out for a walk. Passed a pond and there was a public works sign, you know, like, Speed Limit 25, but this sign had an alligator on it: The words written below the alligator were classic: Do not feed or molest the alligators.
Okay, no problem.
