With the start of the college football season less than a month away, it’s a great time to hit the futures market.
My favorite college football futures play is the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners at +470 to win the American Athletic Conference.
UTSA is loaded this season with 16 starters and 51 lettermen returning from 2022’s 11-win team.
The Roadrunners have won 23 games in the past two seasons but moved from Conference USA to the tougher AAC.

The Roadrunners should be favored in every AAC game heading into the season finale at conference favorite Tulane.
They also avoid two of the top teams in the league — Memphis and SMU.
Not only does UTSA return a lot of production, head coach Jeff Traylor signed the Group of 5’s top-rated recruiting class.
However, the best news of the offseason was the return of star quarterback Frank Harris.
The senior accounted for 4,659 total yards and 41 touchdowns last season.
He’s one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the country and leads an offense that could be even better than the unit that averaged 36.8 points per game in 2022.

Oddsmakers are undervaluing the Roadrunners heading into the season.
I think UTSA should be closer to +250 to win the conference, so I’ll gladly take +470 with one of the top Group of 5 teams in college football.
