Things are typically bigger in Texas, and total runs scored is no exception. The Houston Astros entered their series versus the Texas Rangers averaging the most runs per game in MLB and will look to keep their offense humming on Saturday in Arlington.

Rangers pitcher Jordan Lyles has a respectable 2-3 record, but has a 5.93 ERA and an MLB-high 29 runs allowed. He has done his worst work at home, with an 8.43 ERA in four starts, averaging just over four innings per start and allowing 2.6 home runs and 4.2 walks per nine innings.

Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. has a lifetime 14-18 road record with a 4.79 ERA and 1.431 WHIP, compared to 21-8 with a 2.57 ERA and 1.081 WHIP at home.

The Astros entered the series having scored at least four runs in 14 straight games and averaging 5.4 runs per game both at home and on the road. They were 13-5-2 to the Over and had the lowest percentage of strikeouts per at-bat. Both bullpens rank in the bottom half of the league in ERA, so the runs should continue to pile up.

The play: Astros-Rangers total, Over 8.5 runs.
