Boston has relied heavily on its special teams and specifically a lethal power play to provide the offensive punch in the Stanley Cup Final series. However, at five-on-five, the Blues have outscored the Bruins.

Boston will have a few more whistles go their way in Game 5 back at TD Garden, and if that is the case, the Bruins’ power play may do some damage, as it is 6-for-16 with the man-advantage in this series.

The Bruins’ top line of Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand had a very quiet Game 4 but should respond with a much better Game 5. Conversely, Boston’s depth on defense is going to be tested, with Zdeno Chara doubtful with a broken jaw and Matt Grzelcyk (concussion) unlikely to return. The Bruins may have to dress a defenseman who has yet to suit up in these playoffs.

Turnovers could become an issue for Boston as a result and could lead to some better scoring chances for St. Louis. The Over has cashed in three of the first four games of this series and no adjustment has been made on the totals throughout. St. Louis is also 9-3 to the Over in 12 games following a win in this year’s playoffs. Expect more of the same here.

The play: Bruins-Blues, Over 5¹/₂ goals.
